OUR ROOTS RUN DEEP
The Grogan legacy began in 1915 when Elisha A. Grogan founded Grogan Jewelers in the heart of Florence, Alabama. In 1940, his son Oscar took over the family business on Court Street, the city’s main downtown artery.
In 1972, Walker and Frankie Graham became the new owners of the Grogan tradition, and under their leadership, the store experienced unmatched growth. Then in 1985, Jay Klos walked through the thresholds to sell diamonds to the then-owner, Walker Graham, but instead, Klos was the one who made a purchase that day. He grew Grogan’s to two locations, Florence and Huntsville Alabama, where Grogan’s was then named the Coolest Jewelry Store in America in 2014 before the Brown Family purchased the stores in 2015.

In 2015 Lon Brown, a successful entrepreneur with over 30 years in the jewelry industry, along with her family, Roger and Jennifer Brown, Bret and Linda (Brown) Gist, and Jason and Crystal Brown, purchased the heritage and tradition that is Grogan Jewelers by Lon. In 2016 Grogan Jewelers celebrated its 102nd birthday in September by opening its 3rd location at the Cool Springs Galleria in Franklin, Tennessee.
